my dream house

I have become the kind of guy that would like to have a house in town or in the city (for business - the lower floor can be rented out or used as an inn) and a nice retreat out in the country. Something well-hidden perhaps like in the midst of the forest overlooking a lake or inlet.



It would have to be a bit lighter (lightly coloured wood) and maybe with a natural green roof (grass ?) and some solar panels and not just sustainable but also providing me both electricity and water and still connected to the grid.




With this as my view:





And of course some plots of land around where I can grow my food

Hmm.. I guess that I would still sell the house in the city and focus on my dreamed piece of rural real estate. I would make sure that I have my office in the house so I can work at home and spend as little time as possible in the city.





And since that I don't have a driving license a chauffeur and if necessary a bus stop/ train station in the area would be nice.

Unfortunately, I cannot find the picture any longer....however:

The most beautiful house I have ever seen is in Girdwood, Alaska. We happened upon it quite by accident, and my jaw dropped when I saw the thing. It was made completely of wood and stained glass, or so it appeared. It was gorgeous. Shortly thereafter, I was online surfing through Alaska real estate and happened upon that house again, and this time it was complete with pictures of the inside as well.

It was beyond spectacular....and the damned asking price was $700,000!

Nevertheless, Alaska is full of beautiful homes. It is no wonder we are planning to move there as soon as it is feasible

A well built house with good quality material(not the plastic or synthetic shit that its becoming the norm) and the most important, nice orange tyles. + a good ditance from the neighbors , at least some kilometers filled with Atlantic rainforest("mata atlantica" native of southeast and southern Brazil).

Perched at 7000ft. on land holdings of our noble great grandpa in Himalayan lap , it has been bequeathed down to us . Major part of it is now a heritage hotel branded by a reputed corporation (we are a shareholder in this venture) .
