remember that current mestizos are not 50/50 of each thing, but now a mixture of other such as SSA as well
so what you go by in this case is the Amerindian percentage, you are simply 50% Amerindian, thus balance

That’s what I’m thinking. One should be close to 2/3 – 3/4 American Indian to be considered “Indomestizo”, any less is kind of “white-washing”. Someone like her who is genetically half Indigenous and half colonial/"old world" should be more on the “balanced Mesitza” side.
