Well the Baghdad goverment, have hinted to establish a psuedo-autonomeous small state for them in Ninevah (Mosul), to curb the kurdish land grabing policy.

You see the thing is, there's a region in Ninevah, called "Valley of ninevah" an area populated by a christian Assyrian majority, that area is belived to have a rather large reserve of natural gas under it, and the kurds wants it... under the banner of "Iraqi goverment, cannot protect the christian minority".

Yeah, I have heard of that area. Assuming Mosul ever gets liberated, I imagine you will see kurds try to claim it.

Everything East of the river is Kurdish. Anyway the Assyrians have already aligned themselves with Kurdistan. There is a reason why the Christians fled to Kurdistan instead of other Iraqi gov controlled areas. The Iraqi government has failed them.

It's also interesting how they have funds to establish new military units but are unable to send us 17% of the budget that we are entitled to because apparently "there are no funds"

They're not aligned with Kurdistan. They simply want to continue living. They couldn't go to areas held by the Iraqi government because they would have to go through ISIS land

Complete and utter BS, Kurdish peshmerga abandoned their posts in in northern Nienvah and Diyala, just as the iraqi army... mind you the area (Sinjar/shingal) where Ezidis were captured, were under barzani's peshmerga.

So don't blame the iraqi army for this, your precious peshmerga failed aswell.

And I know for a fact that Assyrians didn't allign them selves with the KRG, matter of fact you were the ones who crawled to occupy their territories, since ottoman times, and even before.

Exactly, it would be suicidal in terms of logistics for them to go down, since all major routes to baghdad were cut by ISIS at the time !

And yet the real victims here are Assyrians, followed by Kurds during Saddam's era. I don't see any point in holding Mosul and the Mosul region. Assyrians definitely deserve a state of their own South of Kurdistan.
