I am a mother to two beautiful kitty cats. No human children. Will not have human children. I normally get asked why...

Reason 1: I have two older sisters who died of a congenital heart problem. I don't have the heart problem but I might be a carrier. I don't want to mess with that.
Reason 2: I have bipolar affective disorder. It's genetic and not something I want to pass onto someone else. It's bad enough that I have it, but I want to avoid giving it to someone else
Reason 3: I am on medication for multiple sclerosis which is known to cause birth defect and miscarriages
Reason 4: I am a carrier of Congenital Disorder of Glycosylation Type 1a (PMM2-CDG). It is recessive but not something I want to mess with (Thank you to 23andme)
Reason 5: I never wanted children, so all the above factors don't bother me
Reason 6: I'm too old to start with the kiddie business now
