East Asians are sorted by Siberian influence (part Caucasian/ANE) and South Asian (part Australoid/Oceanian) so most have a bit of other major races (1 of the 4 at least). It's not huge differences in general but like some MENA are not much more SSA than Europeans.

Personally i can tell some SEA groups apart like Cambodians as they generally have darker skins and indeed quite some South Asian influence in genetics admixture (about 1/6) but in features i don't find them that different than regular East Asians Korean/Chinese/Japanese, i would have very hard time even trying to sort those 3 out. There are certainly higher frequencies of specific looks within them, i just can't do it.

Some southern chinese/cantonese look different and have more affinity with SE asians but yeah in general I find it hard to tell apart east asians (japanese, chinese, koreans) as well. I can usually tell SE asians and East asians apart but even some of the SE asians look quite eastern shifted like the vietnamese, some thais, laotians, filipinos.
