PS: are you able to tell apart spanish and italian languages? I think it's quite difficult for an anglosaxon.

It is actually pretty easy for most. There are plenty of vowels at the end of Italian words & the way it's pronounced. Spaniards speak more lispy.

I was being a little mean but honestly around here they really piss people off. The other day there was a massive crowd of them using the public transportation (totally clueless) instead of the tourist buses. They held up the buses for 20 minutes getting on and off every bus that stopped trying to pay the driver with a 20 pound bill (you need change or to purchase them electronically beforehand). Everyone on the bus had to get off because of them and walk so they wouldn't be late. I was almost 10 minutes late for a meeting because of them. The bus driver shouldn't have even let them on but he was becoming so frusted with them he just told them to go on. When they finally got on the bus they had no regard for anyone else. They spoke incredibly loudly, shouting between people, and monkeying around. When you goto another country you should be aware of what is needed before hand and not act like a complete imbecile disrupting the natives.

That is more of a tourist thing that annoys the locals in Edinburgh, who want to get on with work. It's a nightmare for some. In the summer there's more Tourists than locals.

It's more of a tourist reputation than Italian one to the people on Edinburgh.

I'm not surprised that foreigners get caught out by the bus fares. It's an efficient system we have, that would frustrate those who don't know.

East Asians are quite bad in shops but I don't know about busses. My mum works in a shop that deals with many of the Chinese & are notoriously fussy there. Japanese go about taking photos of everything from dustbins, locals to the clouds.

LOL at the Japs! So true! Asians are more polite but less emotional.

I'm happy to see that...so, it's nmosly an american thing the misunderstanding of spanish and italian.

Yep that's for sure...even here in Turin they act the same.
