I don't think the Georgian coastline is similar to Atlantic northern Spain, which has an oceanic temperate climate, with cool summers and mild winters. The area bordering the Black Sea Coast in Georgia (Batumi, Kutaisi, Zugdidi and Sukhumi) is often considered to have a humid subtropical climate under the Köppen classification, just like other places in Europe including some parts of Italy (the Po valley: Turin, Milan, Bologna, Verona, the Adriatic, Trieste, Venice and Rimini, the Italian lakes), ex-Yugoslavia (Split, Koper, Kotor), Spain (Barcelona, Girona, Huesca), Portugal (the Azores), France (Toulouse, Avignon), Bulgaria (Varna), Romania (Constanta, Marmaia), Sochi and Crimea.
