Is a perception of Russia among mainlanders better then a perception of their other neighbors or not?

Do chinese people treat russians more friendlier than their treat other neighbors like vietnamese, koreans, filipinos, etc. or less friendlier? I guess they perceived as typical europeans and they associated with any possible stereotype that white people had.

One guy on the other forum told me that there is a common stereotype in China that russian girls are hookers. It originated in the northern regions bordering Russia where is a plenty of russian women serving rich people. Can you prove it or not?

What is a general perception of people with mixed background who are half russian and half han?

I would say yes. Russia is one of the countries mainlanders consider 'friendly', and one of the neighbors China actually likes (on a geopolitical level at least). The other is Pakistan. It is Chinese customs to act as good hosts so they'd strive to treat all visitors with equal warmth and hospitality. There's some good anecdotes from even Japanese who reported how friendly and helpful the Chinese including in Nanjing (I might try to find this if I have free time, which is very significant). Of course, how Russians are treated largely depends on the region but it ranges from good to excellent and being a 'western country' and predominantly white is bound to give Russians extra attention from the locals. Some of it might be a little intrusive. Most Chinese feel close to Siberian/Central Asian Russians and most probably would think of them as Northern relatives/minority groups.

Actually, Russians are highly respected as warriors. Chinese call Russians 战斗种族 (fighting race) and out of all her neighbors, Russia is the only one that's complemented in this way. It's a big deal because Chinese aren't one to give complements easily.

Nowadays, those that know the history of Russia feel great sympathy and solidarity with the Russian people.

As for the hooker stereotype, thankfully it's become increasingly rare. Yes, it most likely came from the Northeast since that's where contact between our two cultures was most frequent. Unfortunately, stereotypes are always hard to prove, even harder to break

Today, it's mostly the older generation and a very small minority of western expats who still think this way. Currently, Russia is seen as having high standards of living, a proud culture and beautiful cities. It would be hypocritical for Chinese to think this way of Russians since Chinese are very aware of how their women are perceived worldwide.

Unfortunately, I heard this stereotype still exists in South Korea.

There is a youtube channels of Russians in China.
They make the same content as many american youtubers do it.
But from the point of russian native about local traditions and how they understand it.

This channel I recommend. This guy lives in Guangzhou and talks mostly about Guandong province and Hong Kong.
He describes his life in Guangdong province from the point of russian native.

Also this channel worth to be mentioned. This person lives in northern China and Beijing in particular.
According to my observations they both completely do not understand people and local traditions.

It's the most popular sport in China atm. Unfortunately, China still has a long way to go before being any good in this sport. Chinese are particularly fond if English teams. Every Chinese knows and idolizes David Beckham, all the guys want to be him, all the girls want to have him

Koreans who speak Chinese generally just meld into society. Even South Koreans, there are large communities that live in Beijing and Shanghai, and they easily just function as Chinese people.

Ethnic Koreans in China primarily identify as Chinese, and there are little differences between them and Hans. China has actually been very successful in assimilating all of it's minorities, with Uighurs and Tibetans probably the biggest exceptions. But that's what China's been doing for 2500 years, just assimilating all it's neighbors and territories into one nation.

I remember I was in Shanghai one time and I was having dinner with a Chinese American friend and his gf, who is an ethnic Korean. I was with some Asian Americans, who were pretty clueless (typical of Asian Americans, they dont know shit) about Chinese society, and they kept asking her about South Korean things. And she seemed a bit uncomfortable and then was like, Well, I'm from Dongbei (NE China) so I'm pretty much Chinese, not from South Korea. Of course my Asian American friends couldn't process it.
