Well this is funny, Italians from Italy making fun out of American-Italian pizzas and american-italian food, they were like shocked how bad it is lol:



I think this shows two things;

1. Italian-Americans developed somewhat their own sub-culture of Italy in USA, which is ofcourse only natural.

2. Italians from Italy hardly find this same Italy, considering food etc...

Very few Abruzzo people were involved in the Mafia ,, they were not fans of the Mafia. My Grandmother had trouble even understanding the Sicilians in America when they spoke to her in Italian. I suppose they had a different Dialect. People living a hard life in the Apennines mountains had no use of organized crime. At one point I thought you had to be 100% Sicilian to even be in Mafia. I suppose that rule never stuck.

I perfectly know. There are some sicilian-american people that come back after generations and speak to us thinking they are talking in italian. But they are talking in their dialects that only sicilians understand......
