Whites in Latin America: Self Classification and genetic studies

I find this results interesting because some people like to highlight the outliers who think they are white and are mestizos and things like that. But there a millons of white latin americans (Cubans, Brazilians, Argentines, Uruguayans) that are 80-100% european and would pass ass white anywhere.

Brazil for example has 200 millon people of which 100 millon identify as white. According to this tests we are talking about 75 millon people scoring over 80% european. Thats 8 times the population of Greece and almost 2 times the population of Spain.

But some people have this stupid belief, that nearly all Latin Americans (with maybe the exception of Argentina and Uruguay, though some dumbest people would even include Argentina and Uruguay) are brownish, and less Euro, by default, than any white North American, and that all those Latin Americans who declares themselves as whites are self hating "white wannabes".

IMO the problem is that those people equate 5% amerindian to 50% amerindian like everybody is mixed but 75 millon brazilians scoring +80% european is pretty significant. Some people forget that the great majority of european nations have a population below 20 millon.

Of course, many self declared white Latin Americans are not really white, being many of them triracials, quadroons and mestizos who declare themselves as whites, only for having lighter skin than many of their countrymen. But some non-Latin Americans, stupidly generalize all self declared white Latin Americans, as being in that case, when the case is there are also many self declared white Latin Americans who are truly whites (85% Euro or more), and and look like it, and would be seen as white anywhere they go.

Indeed, you're lighter and more Euro/Amerindian than the Dominican Republic average. You pass much better in Venezuela than in Dominican Republic.

Or like many pardo Venezuelans too. Venezuela is on average something like 57-55% Euro, 29-30% Amerindian, and 17-18% SSA

Some people think that Venezuela is more African than that, because they mistakenly take the mulatto/zambo/triracial lower class from the slums in Caracas, or even the heavily African people of the few lowland coastal pockets that I showed to you in a Venezuelan map, on another thread, as the Venezuelan average, when they don't represent the full picture of the Venezuelan racial make up. NO, by any stretch of imagination.

There is a significant middle class with many whites and Euro-mestizos, in the Venezuelan big cities, and the general population (taking into account all social classes) tends to be less African admixed and more leaning towards mestizo, on average, as you move to the interior, and farther away from the Caribbean.

And even some coastal states, like Nueva Esparta, Falcon, part of the coast of Anzoategui state, and most of Zulia, are mostly mestizo, for having a semi-desert climate, that was not inviting to the introduction of a massive slave trade, in colonial times.

The self declared criteria to determine the racial composition on Latin American countries is Bull shit.

It would be great, that given the current advances in genetics, from now on, all Latin American countries, on every census, gave a free genetic test to all people being polled, to scientifically determine their actual racial composition. But that would be too expensive (not feasible at all), and many stupid lefty-happy progressist people would kick and cry, and rip their garments, considering it as "racist".
