Russians as people are fine as long as you don't discuss history and politics with them. They even tend to believe that Russia was always defending itself and all negative talks about them is western propaganda. Only some generous ones may admit that actually they have invaded Afghanistan, while other interventions were purely "liberation".
Yea. My dad doesn't hate Russians or anything, but a lot of Afghans don't think that highly of them either. My dad said he likes Russians as a people, but that he hates what they tried to do to Afghanistan (aside from fighting the mujahadeen of course).

    Relatively.

We usually give more importance to our stem town, region, country (Spain) than to Europe...

Yep. It is more like various European nations feel some connection with various European nations, but not to Europe as a whole.

I think the people in Europe only remember that are europeans when you study an Erasmus or travel with The Interrail...

People in Europe tend to unite when they have a reason to unite, which is basically sharing same problems. Although it is rather a sort of alliance, not some serious permanent unification.

obviously most europeans feel closer to each other than to menas , at least they have a religion in common. maybe the muslim ones are an exception.

All these three statements apply, depending on the person:

1.My European ethnicity thinks & cares about being European, but it strictly cares about its ethnic identity first
2.My European ethnicity doesn't really think or care about being European and cares about ethnic identity mostly, but still feels some connections to ALL other Europeans than to ANY non-Europeans
3.My European ethnicity doesn't care about being European at all and only views itself as ethnically similar to others of the same ethnicity.

The underlying outcome is no matter if they care about their European identity or not,the Greek identity comes always as a priority.

Btw the first statement is more compatible with younger people.

Interesting. I thought Greeks would be more of an outlier in this situation. I've met Greeks in America who felt ethnically closer to Turks and Persians than to white americans. But I guess in Greece itself it's different.
