So they were very diligent with the language but not diligent enough with the race of their characters ... or were there black indo-europeans and I don't know about it

Perhaps very Cromagnoid with tanned skin, but I do not think all the characters look like "Negroes".

It's a fairly accurate representation of up paleo/mesolithic Euro, despite the dark skin looked nothing else than Euro. The rest is usual UBI crap, they always make that giant statement at the beginning of their games they are made by multicultural teams yada yada.
