Tech billionaires sponsor scientists to break us out of the matrix

He is a respectable guy, no doubt about that, but he really takes popular science, which is arguably closer to entertainment than to actual science, way too seriously. Even if I’d assume his premise, the effort would be as futile as an ant trying to take over NATO. Those scientists are probably laughing behind his back, while enjoying the money.

What a waste of money, I guess they have enough money to throw down the toilet for entertainment. Money could be better spent, though, such as buying Bibles for China and India, and funding evangelism.
