London's population is growing by 100,000 a YEAR as immigration and high birth rate turn the capital into a 'megacity'

Immigration and a high birth rate has driven the growth of the capital over the past five years, according to analysis from the Office for National Statistics.

Eh, 'the crime rate' is a very vague and poorly defined thing that mostly only ignorant people talk about. For instance, in Camden, last year, burglaries went down, but theft of motor vehicles were on the up. In London as a whole, murder is stable or declining, but there was a spike in knife crime at one point.
