Lynn claims that Southern Italians have an intermediate IQ, between Northern Italians and Near Easterners, because they are intermediate between them genetically. It's a ridiculous assertion, Northern Italy had tons of Southerners and many Northern Italian have some degree of Southern ancestry. Yet Northern Italian numbers are still very high overall and there's not a downward trend. Something that you should expect if his theory was true.
He says also that the reason why Balkans are in the 90 range for IQ is because they are partially from the "Near Estern". Again, apart from Albanians and Greeks, Balkanites have similar if not more Northern ancestry than Northern Italians. Modern genetics destroys completely this paper actually.
Well Lynn spit idiocies about Italy, of course Italian academics will reply, especially when he makes so much mistakes and distort data. Italian researchers have a direct access to local sources that Lynn haven't used in his study.
