My biggest issue with all the Islamic migrants to Europe is that they're not really assimilating. Sure, they'll learn the language, but that's where it stops.

Consider Jewish Americans, for example. Most of them have names like Ben, Sam, Michael, etc..., which are English in origin, whereas most Muslims in America, even the ones born here, still have names like Mohammed and Abdul.

Ben, Sam and Michael are all Jewish names of Hebrew origin.

Ben - Binyamin, son of my right [hand], from Benjamin, son of Jacob/Israel, in Genesis.
Sam - Shmuel, asked of God, from Samuel, the Prophet, from Samuel I and II
Michael - Mikha'el, who is like God, from Michael, archangel.

But yes, in general I agree, assimilation is desirable for the general society.

Yes, but they have become common names in English because of the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament. And a lot of Jewish Americans have English names with no Hebrew cognate, like for example Billy Joel and Howard Stern.

Whereas Moslems are still giving their children Arabic-sounding names that have nothing to do with the English language.

It's a sign they still value their MENA culture over our Anglo one.
