It's all the same, or close enough. Humans have been running since for as long as we've existed.

Running has nothing to do with what these Jamaicans practice. These Jamaicans need physical potency, explosivity... something that normal runners dont.
In any case this just proves that Olympic Games are a fraud when they are taken as a measure of sport achievements. Jamaica could have 2 millions of medals in these modalities and still be a pathetic country (as so happens) in the rest of sports of this world. That does not make Jamaica to be a good contributor in sports, dont you think?

Come on, normal people practicing football resembling more to professional football that normal runners and profesional athletes of 100m do, and you know this.
Normal runners practice running usually for health and for their physical form. It is a sport, yes, but in another way.
No comment that there are much more normal people who are registered as footballers than people as runners.

We are talking by capita so sure Brasil is a great nation in football but new zeland is also in rugby.

I'am not sure Brazil represent in football what New Zeland represent in rugby. Everything is legendary in the all black, the haka, their equipment all blacks because they mourn the defeat of their adversary...
Some big rugby nation like Scotland or Ireland never win a single game against new zeland in all their history.
