What are you talking about? Around the half of the population of Honduras is Catholic. 97% of Catholics is a score for East Timor.

That's impossible. Honduras in one of the Latin American countries with the highest percentage of Protestants.

In a 2007 nationwide survey, CID-Gallup reported that 47 percent of respondents identify themselves as Roman Catholics, 36 percent as evangelical Protestants, and 17 percent either provide no answer or consider themselves "other." The principal religious groups are Catholic, Episcopal, Lutheran, Jehovah's Witness, Mennonite, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon), and approximately 300 evangelical Protestant groups.

In fact, Protestantism is growing in Latin America in general.

Like all countries in Central America, Honduras is very religious.

I stayed 9 years with a Honduran woman until she passed away, she was certainly the only woman I've really loved in my life, She was raised a Catholic, but she was not a practising person.

More and more Hondurans, especially the poorest, are seduced by the evangelical neo-charismatic movement, neo-Pentecostalism, imported from the United States. A growing phenomenon, affecting many Latin American countries (Brazil for example).
