Where has more blacks - France or the UK?

It's a very difficult thing to put a number on. Firstly France does not collect racial stats by law, so any estimate really amounts to guess work, and on top of that, France considers it's Overseas Departments to be integrated parts of France, unlike the UK where its overseas territories are considered separate to the UK.

Estimates for France vary widely from 1.5 million to 4-5 million. I'm not quite sure how you can get an estimate which varies so widely, so I'm assuming that 1.5-2 million means Metropolitan France, and 4-5 million is including France's overseas departments.

As of a 2007, it is estimated there are 1.5 million people of full Sub-Saharan African heritage in the UK. This count does not include half-blacks, etc. If you include half blacks in 2010 you're probably pushing 2 million.

All in all I would be inclinded to say France has more, but as I don't know whether their estimates just account for pure SSA, or mixed I don't know, and also I'm unsure whether the estimates are just Metropolitan France, or include the Departments.

Hopefully someone can shed a bit more light on this?

France has a slight lead both absolutely and in terms of percentages.

At least 4% of the population of France are blacks (very likely the number is quite a bit higher), while in the UK the number is apparently around 3%.

In the 2001 census, about 85% of the UK was white british. What would you estimate it at being in 2010? I'm having a hard time believing its 85% white these days, even in small, non-descript towns you see plenty of third worlders. Go into a Tesco or Sainsburys car park and you'll have a load SSA's rush up to you shouting "car wash, car wash?".

If the 2011 census comes back still around the 85% mark, I will be shocked.

My hometown has apparently 3% indians, but it says there is above 60% of them in certain areas. I have a hard time believing this since I see more of them then anyone in nearly half the town.

You may have noticed I've asked a few questions comparing France and the UK. I currently live in the UK, but a few family members have moved to France and often say how much they prefer it to the UK, and they seem to think the racial situation is better than the UK, but they live in a rural South West France - Le Pen country. However, if they lived in Île-de-France or PACA, I suspect it would be a different story.

However, on the whole is the population of native French people in Metropolitan France more or less than the population of native British people in the UK?

I make the distinction with Metropolitian France because very often the higher end estimates of France's diversity are including the overseas regions, which are integrated parts of the French Republic, and the overseas regions are predomantly negro, so that's an extra 1.5-2 million people that are included in the count as being part of the French Republic.

I believe Metropolitan France does have more negros, however I don't think its that much more. In the UK I think its 3%, whereas Metropolitan France I believe it's about 4.5% of the population. However, the UK has significantly more Indians, Pakistanis and Chinese immigrants.

Having done a bit more research, I've found these stats for Metropolitan France:

Muslims: 4.5-5 million

Blacks: 3 million

East Asian: About 250,000

Indians: 65,000

Eastern Europeans: Just over 1,000,000

So roughly 9,100,000 people in France are non-French. Let's call it 10,000,000, this would mean 16.5% of France is non-French.

Does this sound about right?
