Romanian is closer to Latin than Latin itself. IMO ancient Romans spoke Romanian

IMO your ancestors did speak Romanian when Asian invaders came to Europe.

Sardinian shows the least deviation from Latin(8%). Comparatively, Romanian shows 24 % and French 45%. Do your homework.

I like word "romania" - it's a rome and romas in the same time. also i like these marches - its always happened in autimn or spring. and psychiatrists know why. mare romania!

I don't think unification with Moldova would be a good idea either economically or geopolitically. It would be hard to incorporate, and would cause problems with both the EU/NATO and Russia (consider the Transnistria problem) Plus even the culture is rather different there after all the soviet years. For most of its history, it was a distinct entity, as Transylvania also was.

Also, there are tons of inaccurate information being thrown around on this thread, but I don't want to go off topic.

nope, it might work in case if romania be reunited with moldavian motherland. it also be rebrending from ashameble word "romanian" to proud "moldavian". but not for all, surely must be selection there, but i sure at least 10% romanian might get noble moldavian name.
