Sinitta (born Sinitta Renay Malone on 19th October 1963 )
is a 53 year old American-British singer,
television personality, dancer and actress,
born in Seattle, Washington, US,
who has lived in the United Kingdom for most of her life,
hence her southern English accent.
She lives in London, UK, but has American–British nationality.
Sinitta is known for being the girlfriend of Brad Pitt in his youth,
and for her obessional love for her ex boyfriend/manager Simon Cowell,
and appearing by his side in photos,
(despite them having split-up as a couple so many years ago.)
Sinitta often defends Simon in interviews against the media,
(he's ranked as one of the top ten meanest people of all time.)
A few years ago, Sinitta was said to be 'devasted' on hearing Simon Cowell
was having a love-child with his socialite girlfriend,
and said that she should have been the one to have his baby.
Sinitta often talks on television about her very close friendship to Simon,
who is worth Ł325 million,
and ranked as one of the most important
and influential entrepreneurs in the world.
In April 2002, Sinitta married Andy Willner,
but still spoke of her love for Simon and her close friendship to him.
In November 2005,
she announced that Kerry West
was to be a surrogate mother
for a baby with her husband.
At eight weeks into the surrogacy, however,
West suffered a miscarriage.
She had been carrying twins.
Sinitta and Willner divorced in 2010,
but have 2 children together.
Sinitta took part in 1984's A Song for Europe,
the UK competition to find an entry
for the Eurovision Song Contest, with "Imagination".
Sinitta was both Simon Cowell's and Fanfare Records's first music signing.
"So Macho" was recorded with producer and songwriter George Hargreaves,
and was issued as a double A-side single with "Cruisin'".
The single peaked at #2 in the UK charts,
selling over half a million records in the UK and 1 Million worldwide,
and spent 30 weeks on the UK chart.
‘So Macho’ was a hit in several other European countries
and peaked at #14 in Australia.
Around this time, Cowell was keen for Stock Aitken Waterman (SAW)
to write and produce for Sinitta.
SAW worked with Sinitta on her first single
with the Hit Factory was "Toy Boy".
By the time, ‘Toy Boy’ was released, Sinitta was a household name.
Like, ‘So Macho’, ‘Toy Boy’ was a huge success of global proportion,
selling all over Europe as well as the USA.
It spent a fantastic 14 weeks in the chart
and outsold Michael Jackson’s ‘I Just Can’t Stop Loving You’.
