Moldavian presidential election

Today, moldavian will elect their new president. The election basically oppose pro european to pro russian.
The pro russian is the favorite.

I hope the situation won't turn as in Ukraine.

Turn what as in Ukraine?Bessarabians did it with their own hands.They can always give up Transnistria, and join Romania.

And if a pro-russian president wins(which I very very doubt), it will be a revolution.

In french newspaper, they said the pro russian candidats is the favorite, but they might be wrong.

So you think it can turn out as a revolution?

PS: I opened the thread in romanian section because there isn't moldavian one, but I might put in "news" or not in a country section. If a moderator wants to move the thread.

There wont be a pro-russian winner. Very very small chances.

I wouldn't bet on that. I think Dodon will win. It's their decision, you know? If they choose corruption and poverty maybe they don't deserve being part of our glorious nation.

Yep, pro-Russian politicians always came up as very democratic leaders that value human rights as fuck

First of all, even tho i have Russian ancestry from Bessarabia (russia until 1918), I dont favor any side, but here is my opinion:

They cant simple decide, "oi mate, i feel Romanian, fu#@ Russia, lets join Romania now eh", they simply cant do it, there are many ethnic groups there, Bulgarian, Gagauz, Russian, Ukranians, that oppose such union. and also it would destabilize Romania's economy, it's not as easy as you're saying it is. Also Romania would also have to approve such union and most of the Romanians I met online could not careless about Moldova.
