Angelina Jolie, Madonna, Cher, Matt Damon, George Clooney, Johnny Depp... now Bono (the ex boyfriend of British supermodel Naomi Campbell and the lead vocalist of the Irish superstar band U2)... and the list goes on.

Why don't they just stick to music and let people vote for whoever they want?

It's easy for celebs to condemn who people support without looking at the reasons why people feel the way they do when they support someone in an election.

Because it's an important part of their job. They need attention and coverage by medias. They use presidential election for their own benefits. And it's a win-win game for both celebrities and presidential candidates.

However, I think they may lose their fans if they promote/attack/target a specific candidate 24/7.

Why ? But it's simple. Rock stars and comedians are cool and smart dudes, they are open-minded and travel a lot around the world, unlike Reps who usually are unbred rednecks and desperate afros who never left their hometown and never went to college.
