The worst situation a person can be in is speaking a language that isnt the one he/she was accustomed to hearing in their formative years. Notice immigrants who move to a new country after age 14 or so never truly become fluent or accent-free. Combine that with losing native fluency due to a paucity of situations to practice, what ends up happening is the person loses fluency in his mother tongue while never truly becoming fluent in his adopted language. This certainly fucks with their cognitive abilities...

Yeah, I used to totally suck at it but from using the internet I became better at it. it's probably my 4th language. I speak Norwegian, Albanian and German. I used to live in Germany as a kid.
I speak Albanian with my parents.
