Why Have Americans Stopped Growing Taller?

Americans used to be the tallest in the world... Until 1950. In fact, Americans are now shorter, on average, than the citizens ofevery single countryin Western and Northern Europe. Some will blame to Immigration with shorter average heights. But I have another theory, I think is because of low quality food. Americans eat mostly processed food, which is low in essential nutrients, like Vitamins, minerals and proteins. That's my point. What do you think?

Immigration for sure. I see lots of tall blacks and whites every day, but almost never for E. Asians and Hispanics from C. America. Probably
50 to 60 million C. Americans and E. Asians here how can that not impact average height.

Probably due to thrid world emigration and the lower quality of mass-produced, processed food. It's interesting how they used to be the tallest, most imposing people and now folks in Europe generally consider them short-ish

Larger population of people from Central America, Mexico, and East Asia pulls down the average. Whites and blacks, I can assure you, are just as tall as ever in the U.S.

Trust me Americans have gotten a lot taller over 25 years. I am 5-9 and back in 1990 most men were my height and up to three inches taller on average. The women were around 5-4. These days the young women are as tall as me or taller and most of these young guys are over 6 feet tall so Americans are getting taller.
