The range of tropical fruits and vegetables imported here from the Caribbean Islands are delicious and I love Caribbean restaurants and cuisine (along with Mexican, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Italian, Greek, French, Spanish, Moroccan, and Lebanese cuisine.)
I love papaya, guava, passionfruit, melons, mangos, watermelons, bananas, pineapples, sweet potatoes, pumpkins, plantains, salt fish and akee, jerk chicken with rice & black-eye peas, sarsaparilla drink, delicious Jamaican patties, West Indie bread and dumplings, etc.
I was wondering if you've made any threads about the various cuisines, popular dishes and drinks from around the tropical Caribbean Isles?

i havent yet but all of my country threads have photos and infos of their cuisines (simplified though), however i will be making a thread on that specifically and more detailed
i wanted to bring out that many of the foods of the cuisines of the caribbean came from europe as well, their not exclusively from the caribbean, many if not most are native but not all
the good thing is all caribbean cuisine is pretty much the same but just with some minor differences in seasonings with different names is all.
dumplin for example is actually of dutch origin if im not mistaken

Saint Lucians tend to be quieter people than Jamaicans.
Like other West Indies, they love carnivals, tropical fruits and vegetables, reggae, calypso, etc.
Saint Lucians often have good mannerisms and are polite and friendly people.
