Many ppl believes (as a stereotype) that Milošević was a Nationalist, hardcore, but it was not so, he was just a cold and practical opportunist who surrounded himself with true human monsters (Arkan), Šešelj (madman lunatic who went crazy even durin Yugoslavia in yugoslavian jail), Borislav Jović (communist only on paper, but in fact Chetnik without any doubt what so ever) etc...

Tuđman was smarter in this aspect, Tuđman surrounded himself with communist Croats and ustasha Croats, means he "forced" them with Iron fist to make peace between themselves for benefit of Croatia, to forget their differences and place them aside.

While in Milošević's case, Milošević most of the time didnt even had an influence anymore on mad desires of some serb leaders, especially in 1993 and 1995 when Milošević said to Karadžić (leader of Bosnian serbs); "now you are on your own", when those stupid idiots hungry of more areas (Karadžić & Mladić) refused Vence-Owen plan which was giving much of Bosnian areas to Serbs (which would prevent further war and Srebrenica wouldn't even happen), Milošević was saying 24 h per day to Karadžić to accept that plan, but no... he refused.

After that refusal and after Srebrenica, Americans destroyed (from the air) 90% of all Bosnian-Serb millitary power in Bosnia in 1995, Serbs in Bosnia were on their knees, didnt know what to do, so Milošević tried and convinced Americans to stop, because Croats and Muslims in Bosnia were crushing Serbs everywhere in that situation, because if Milosevic didnt stop (with talks and talks) Americans, Serbs would probably lost every meter of Bosnia.

Many Serbs of today (nationalistic serbs) dislike Milosevic, but those stupid idiots are obviously not awared that without Milosevic they would lost everything in Bosnia, everything.
I definitely think that the Western media and politicians demonized Milosevic, when in truth he was not at least directly responsible for the crimes in Bosnia and the truth is the Western establishment hated him because he was friendly to Russia, who were still seen as rivals, and wanted Serbia to have some semblance of socialism.
