When the choice is between wine or beer a true Hungarian always chooses pálinka

"Pálinka is a traditional fruit brandy in the Carpathian Basin, known under several names, and invented in the Middle Ages. Protected as a geographical indication of the European Union, only fruit spirits mashed, distilled, matured and bottled in Hungary and similar apricot spirits from four provinces of Austria can be called "pálinka"."

To answer to your question both are very popular, but beer still over-edges wine. And Hungary is world famous for the quality of its wine since the Middle Ages, especially the Tokaji brand, which was the favorite wine for many Western aristocrats.

"The repute of Tokaji wine was enhanced when in 1703, Francis II Rákóczi, prince of Transylvania, gave King Louis XIV of France a gift of numerous bottles of wine from his Tokaj estate. Tokaji wine was then served at the Versailles Court, where it became known under the name of Tokay. Delighted with the precious beverage, Louis XIV declared it "Vinum Regum, Rex Vinorum" ("Wine of Kings, King of Wines")."

This might be the best Hungarian cartoon series, from the Golden Age of Hungarian animation. Very futuristic for its time and with a trademark witty Hungarian humor and irony. Tbh, all these characters represent certain Hungarian stereotypes.

On paper they seem to have basic rights, but in reality unfortunately laws don't always materialize. This isn't only characteristic to Serbia, but also to other neighboring countries where large Hungarian communities live. At least Hungarians in Northern Vojvodina should have the right to decide if they would like to remain part of Serbia or would they like to join Hungary, because after WWI and ever since then they weren't given this option to choose.

Hungarian cuisine is well-known for its hot and spicy food, because of using paprika (capsicum peppers), there.
According the food, you are smt. like European Mexico

But paprika was not known at Europe before discovering of America.
Did exist some another recipes with hot taste, before arrival of paprika to Hungary?
If yes, what was used instead? Black peper was too expensive in that times.

The paprika or pepper was introduced into Hungary by the Ottomans in the 16th century, and not much later Hungarian peasants started to grind it into the red spice known today. Hot tasted food existed in Hungary even before, but wasn't that characteristic as it is today. Actually only after the 18th century did paprika (spice) spread all over the Hungarian cuisine.

Also certain Hungarians love to eat almost any type of food with a few bites of hot pepper, even cakes. There is also a belief that a true Hungarian should never tear when eating hot pepper or you'll be laughed off.

In Hungary all foreign names were Magyarized, sometimes even of famous foreign writers (eg. Jules Verne known as Verne Gyula in Hungary), therefore only very few are familiar with the mentioning of Subic or Zrinski, but everybody knows the name of Zrínyi. Interestingly there were two famous Nikola Zrinski or Zrínyi Miklós in Hungarian history, first the famous hero from the Siege of Szigetvár, and the second, his grand-son, who wrote one of the greatest epic poems in Hungarian literature, "Peril of Sziget".
