We choose to call ourselves "childfree" rather than "childless," because we feel the term "childless" implies that we're missing something we want - and we aren't. people ho dont want kids are often labelled as mentally ill, especially the women . and a lot of adults receive great pressure about having children... but then these people regret it because being a parent isn't a "part of their nature".

they need a word to describe themselves and let the human community know about them, they need to tell to other people like them that there is nothing wrong with not wanting children

I don't understand 20 -25 year old people who say "they don't want children". How do you know 10 years later you won't think differently? My mother had me at 35, i don't think she thought about having children at 20 or even 25.
