If Galicia was integrated into Portugal i wouldn't have any issue with it. But they would have to lose the castillian and adopt portuguese as their language.
Well it's true that modern day Portugal never held Galicia as territory but during the roman era, North Portugal and Galicia were at one time one single province named Gallaecia. I believe also that majority still speak galician even though Castilian is the dominant language but galician is believed to be mutually intelligible with Portuguese. Although it sounds to me more like a Castilian person speaking Portuguese while saying a few Castilian words in between their sentences.

    It sounds brazilian to me
There's multiple accents and variants in the North. Although sharing a similar root they also have divergent characteristics discernible to locals. That one is from Braga (Minho) and is somewhat similar to the Porto region one. But even within a place for example one will encounter different ways of speaking.

As a Portuguese speaker it does not sound alike to Brazilian accents from my perspective. We pronounce our vowels clearer, a bit more opened, perhaps why you sense some similarity.

Its the american/dutch like R i think that gives it that similarity. Heres brazilian accent with it

Ps. I meant that it sounds similar to brazilian but with continental touch not that its identical to it
Not the best example as that caipira "r" is absent in European Portuguese language, as it is the aftermath of natives' inability to reproduce the "r" sound. The "r" and "l" sound was non existent in their mother tongues.

I am sorry, but we are too polite to answer that question.

    Cariocas: Palavraix
