The culture flourished in other parts of Asia but when brought to Japan during the Edo period (1600-1800s), the Japanese violently discriminated against Christians and banned Christianity.
Well, sadly this part of our history isn't very known here. I didn't learn about it school, in school they focused more on Brazil and Africa because those colonies lasted longer.
I think most people in Portugal aren't aware of our big our empire once was. I guess people are aware of Goa now because our current prime minister has ancestry from there.

I would go for the first one. Looks more authentic and linguiça is spelled correctly.

    I don't.

I think the average person is ok with immigration. Most are well integrated, but i've noticed recent south asian ones don't speak the language. Since they mostly work in delivery, i have come accross some and i have to speak in english sometimes.
As for their jobs, it varies.

Only in Lisbon, and i think now Porto too.

Maybe the first king. He fought both spaniards and moors so that Portugal could be independent, if it wasn't for him we would all be spanish.
Later people that helped build an overseas empire for such a small country are also relevant.

    Several cod dishes.

As someone who played GTA Vice City a lot, i like 80s music a lot. I like many songs but i don't have a favourite.
Lately i was reminded of how good "The Cure - Just like heaven" is.

As long as they come to work/live i don't mind. If they come to commit crime, i do mind.
The second option is a minority, but it has happened.

I have also met many that look like other portuguese people (maybe they are totally or mostly portuguese).

    1. Not at all and it's a big problem. Accomodation became expensive due to fiscal benefits given to foreign retirees ewho invested massively over the last few years, liberalization of the rental law and pure speculation.

    2. I would say the founder of the nation Afonso Henriques, but is disputed with Infante Dom Henrique ( the PT leader on Civilization and the mastermind of Portuguese discoveries) and ( very debatable), Marques de Pombal ( modernizer, reformer and rebuilder of Lisbon after the huge earthquake) and Salazar ( more on a 20th century perspective).

    3. Bifana ( pork filet sandwich with a tasty sauce), Prego ( steak filet sandwich with a tasty garlic sauce ) or Francesinha (in Porto region..you tube it).

    4. A whiter pade of shale, Procol Harum and Ben.E. King " Stand by me ", international songs right ?!

    5. No, not really the bad phase of BR immigrants has been in the early 2000's now it's considerably better, but some people do.

    6. Depends, there are many Portuguese and Brazilian accents, I would say standard (Lisbon or Coimbra accent) and southern Brazilian accents are 95% intelligible.

I always thought that the Northern Portuguese accent was the closest to S Brazilian accent, the Lisbon accent is quite hard to understand imo.
