If you consider "White" to be synonymous with "European" then no. White is of course a pretty irrelevant term, it is just a term used to describe Caucasian Christians from the European subcontinent and is a lot more cultural and actually has nothing to do with skin colour at all. Especially when you realise that within antiquity, the term Europe came from Olive skinned Greeks, was expanded upon by the olive skinned Romans, and that the pale white skinned Scandinavians were considered savages who were outside the confines of "Europe" and thus when this ideal is conflated with the modern sense of the word, could be seen as non "White". This cultural backing behind the term White becomes ever more apparent when you see people from forums like SF arguing Bosniaks are "non white" because they're Muslim, or Ashkenazi Jews are non white, but Sicilians who plot along side Ashkenazi are "White". This cultural argument is even taken beyond the boundaries of Europe somehow. Chechens are non White, or Balkan Turks who I've seen score over 90% European in some cases are non White, but pure non European populations like Armenians and Pontic Greeks are somehow "White".

Regardless, Levantines are a caucasoid population, some of whom could pass in Europe, many of whom could not. Asma al-Assad could easily be "White" imo but she obviously isn't the average levantine.

the thing is, is the the Caucasoid race is a spectrum with whites on one end and MENA on the other, but that doesn't make those terms invalid

I hate it when people use Bashar Al-Assad as an example because he has obvious semitic features, he's just depigmented. Lol there are Levantines who look way more European than him.

The thing is in America most people wouldn't realize this. To a black African-American he is as white as any other. It's only Europeans that can distinguish between different Caucasoid specimens. It means jackshit to someone as dark as the night.
