Whats with Egypt getting a negative rap from everyone

Heard bad things about that place in real life a lot as well

In my case, they were hostile because we were Iraqis, this was during the time of the sanctions. Even with my American passport, since I was underage and I was with my mom's Iraqi passport. Their behavior was quite disgusting toward us. Turkey on the other hand were pretty cool and chill, ironically I never experienced any prejudice or racism there.

Good impression: Rome, Montreal (not great but much better than its reputation is in these parts), Chicago, Puerto Rico, New Orleans
In the middle: New York, London, Toronto, Germany, Lithuania (towards good impression)
Bad impression: Paris, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Philadelphia (I'm from here originally as a child, so a bit of a trick, but its bad reputation in the U.S. is well deserved IMO), Miami

There are entire regions of the world I've never visited. Of the places where I have visited and spent any significant time, it was mostly indifference from locals - no bad experiences, perhaps because I didn't stand out in many countries as a foreigner. So I have no personal comment about "least hospitable". But there are two countries I've visited that really stand out to me for their hospitality and friendliness: the Turks and the Albanians. The Albanians especially surprised me with their friendliness and how easy they were to talk with, even with a language barrier.

According to my personal experiences, the nicest and most hospitable:
- Brazil (outside of favelas and dangerous areas)

Good rating, internal tourism recommendation is to avoid or be more careful in big cities (large cities in the south and inland of the country the problem is smaller).
