Was that Madison scrambling after that "sheet of paper"? In fairness to B.O., all of the presidents of the last forty years could have been standing on it.

It crossed my mind that maybe it is Jefferson, but I really don't know who it is. I don't know the portraits of our early Presidents at all well, so I can't say who it is for certain.

It's true that none of the Presidents of the last forty years were strict constructionists, not even close. We may not have had anyone like that since before the Civil War.

It should be admitted that both Reagan and Obama ignored the Constitution routinely. But there is still a difference between them. In his heart of hearts, Reagan was trying to do the right thing by us. He had a regard for America and its citizens.

On the other hand, Obama despises America. His public civility is a cloak that he wears to conceal his true feelings. He is using his power and position as if they were a mace, to strike us down.

The man on the bench is in real trouble, and he needs help from somewhere.

I think it's Madison as he's the "Father of the Constitution." It looks like him, too.

I think I agree with that.

It's hard for me to say that Obama doesn't think in his heart that he is doing the right thing, either. I just think his worldview is screwed up and goes against American interests. So in that respect, I can't say I'm too fond of the guy. I don't detect any malice in Obama, though. Community organizer or not. And I think trying to make it seem like he is "hateful" really turns off people who would otherwise be willing to see the conservative point of view on this matter.

That is one of the best parts of the painting.
