You are right about the Helladic period. Greek invasions started in late Helladic. But to say that Greece ended after Hellenistic age, how do you account for that? So in 32 BC there was Greece and in 31 BC there was no more Greece? There was no political unified Greece either way, but the people never stopped to exist nor did the culture stop to evolve.
