how romanian singers became internationally successful in 10 years?

akcent, alex mica, inna, alexandra stan, brianna, vika jigulina, otilia.. though there are many other singers famous in romania some recent singers like them became internationally known. you also like their songs? they are popular because of english language songs and good composers? and how mixed romanian, english, spanish and portuguese songs started? what romanians and others think about them?

However, I will attempt a wild guess. Romanians are desperately trying to prove the world that they are not anymore the communist rubbish tip they used to be many years ago. Now, as every generation is dumber than the previous one, these singers been perfectly able to adapt themselves to this reality. They have successfully swung to the other side, the euro-american trash pop music. The lyrics of their songs being so retarded that anyone with a minimal knowledge of english can grasp their basic meaning has probably been helpful as well. Not to mention the slutty outfits.

I would be surprised if anybody with a more refined taste in music would ever listen to this type of stuff. However I can definitely see why some of their female singers have achieved certain fame internationally. It is the same way how Serbian Turbofolk female singers managed to appeal to many countries outside of Serbia. Music managers know that voice and music (the most generic Dance and Pop formula never seems to get old) doesn't matter for the common people, it has to be packaged with plenty of sex appeal, and success will most likely come.
