Romanians are right. Personally I use the term tsigani in Greek. I believe that we should have the right to not accept an ethnonym which some group of people uses.
Some assume that 'Rom', Lom and Dom people are related. There are some Dom (Domba) people in India too, so maybe the original form of their ethnonym was something like that.
Romania (Ρωμανία) was one of the possible names for Greece too, along with Grecia (Γραικία) and Hellas. Hellas was more popular among intellectuals who where then influenced by classicism.
I don't know if in a parallel universe we are a Romania too.

Hail Romania
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Eph. 6:12
Definition of untrustworthy and loose character are those that don't believe in God.

There are a LOT of people who think gypsies simply are romanians and romanians simply are gypsies. Poles, for example. They don't make the difference because many of them have never seen a Romanian or if they have seen one, they didn't realise that he was Romanian. You can't say that a whole nation is retarded. No, the problem runs much deeper. And honestly, I prefer all of the gypsies out of my country and not having to deal with them even with the price of being considered a gypsy.
