The last "pure" mediterraneans are in Sardinia, and sardinians are 99% europeans.
S.Italy is not a bloke with million people who look all the same, there are regional variations even between S.Italians.
You can find atlanto-meds or nordid looking people there too for that matter.
Maybe you can find some berids in Calabria, but it is the exception and not the rule.
