I found this 1896 quarter on my land 13 years ago. I recently found out it's worth between $1700 - $2200. If it didn't have the scratches (it most likely got ran over by the tractor), it'd be worth $5500. That is crazy.
I'm thinking about putting it up for sale, but maybe i will hold onto it. It kind of has sentimental value. I wish i would've done some metal detecting on that land.

The only shows that can be considered 'small town American' was Roseanne (working class) and Family Ties (middle class).

I get annoyed when someone doesn't understand what you're doing and because they don't understand they think you're being foolish. I walked into a small UPS with three boxes but also had a box in the car. There are boxes to be shipped everywhere in the store. My first thought was just to put it to the side somewhere but I wanted to make sure it's an acceptable spot and so I ask the guy who works there where can I leave my boxes while I get the other one in the car. Guy says anywhere on the floor.

As I walk this little old, Latino guy waiting in line is grinning at me shaking his head like I'm some dumb fuck. I gave him a dirty look but I was more focused on what I had to do, which was already causing me a lot of anxiety, for me to think about it.

Maybe I over think things too much but I like to be certain about everything rather than assume.

Kids these days are really into labels. My 14 year old sometimes falls into trying to label herself. I explain to her why she shouldn't do that. Tonight she was talking about aesthetics. I asked her what my aesthetic is. In her words i am, "Cottagecore/Christian mom/Goth". It made me laugh, and I took a moment to imagine what that looks like, and sure enough it was me.
