It's 1.56% on one calculator, it varies on others. The fact you have that number memorized is concerning to me.

It's absolutely impossible to escape the fact that you're 1/64 (1.56%) SSA. It's literally all over the forum. What's wrong with being closer to Irish people?

I am 1/64 SSA. My mother 1/32, my grandmother 1/16 and my great grandma an octoroon. I said it.

As far as closer to Irish, no one would ever say I looked it. And I am happy with that. I look 100% Sicilian, and not the light kind.

I know. That's why I said 1.56%. Lebanese are really dark compared to Sicilians, and Irish are really light compared to Sicilians. That's how it is.

But Irish have more foreign features and most importantly, genes. As far as I am concerned, I could not pass in Ireland, but I could be an atypically European looking Lebanese. And surely, my real Sicilian side is closer to Lebanese people than to Irish.

If Lebanese look foreign for Sicily (and some do!) then they are that much more foreign in the rest of Southern Europe.

I don't attack your character, but I dislike your agenda of trying to isolate Southern Italy from the rest of Europe, including other Mediterranean countries, based on highly selective and pre-conceived ideas.

Preconceived notions are why you assume Spanish and Greeks (also being Southern Europeans) must be on par with them when genetically this is not the case. I dislike your agenda of making all of Greece into Cyprus.

Not really, but most of all, you're only 50% Sicilian, the other half of your ancestry, is way closer to the Irish. Lebanese are so dark compared to Sicilians. I see Lebanese/Levantines here in Sweden, and I've been to Sicily. There's a huge difference.

Ok but then why is it a problem when I point out Greeks, too, differ from Sicilians because of their higher NE European input? And it does show in their appearance, in groups anyway.

As far as I am concerned, having "one drop" of black blood nullifies the North Euro.

I have said repeatedly that Greece and Cyprus are different, but most Cypriots could pass in Greece proper even if as atypical in a way that most Syrians and especially Jordanians definitely would not.
