Maybe I do not want to be European BUT science is on my side, so it's not like I am denying something true. Sicilians are peripheral to Europe more than Greeks and Spaniards, so it's not like I am lying or saying something untrue.

Well, I'd say it shows, but a full Sicilian could also have the same kind of look. Due to variation, as we all know, an individuals look can be very "random" in reference to their actual ancestry.

If I said the same thing about Sicily you'd be all like "they are NORMAL southern Europeans not West Asian at all, stop being biased".

Either way I know I have North Euro ancestry, for better or worse I accept it but I do not "embrace" it. With that said I take issue with Tooting Carmen over-exotifying Greeks but not recognizing they plot north of Sicilians, further away from Levantines than them and even Turks.

Not "embracing" it, while you love the other parts of your ancestry, is what I call self-hate. Edit: Anyhow, this forum won't be objective when it comes to if you look more Irish or Lebanese, nor do they know how Lebanese people look like.

I am like an African American about their British ancestry... it's there and I do not deny it, but I am not proud of being part North European nor is it part of how I identify. I see myself as Mediterranean, with a small amount of SSA.
