Hum I remember science show that many description in Quran are false. I can't tell which one from memory but if you made a research in english you will find many pages talking about quran contradictions.

Some:
* The Qur'an forbids believers to marry idolatrous women [Sura 2:221], and calls Christians idolaters and unbelievers [9:28-33], but still allows Muslims to marry Christian women [5:5].
* Who is the first muslim: Muhammad [6:14, 163], Moses [7:143], some Egyptians [26:51], or Abraham [2:127-133, 3:67] or Adam, the first man who also received inspiration from Allah [2:37]?

about your second Question ..people don't know that Islam as an Arabic word means surrender to god , all other prophets did surrender to god and their followers also so they were basically Muslims and when Muhammed came with his message there was no disagreement with the other abrahamic religions , Quran spoke about Moses , Jesus , Mary , Joseph ETC and many messengers of god.

there is no disagreement , actually Islam did forbid eating pork and that was found in Torah and Bible so why do christians eat pork or drink alcohol ? so we basically more christians than christians themselves.
