Really, it's not a bad deal on paper. US gets Canada's natural resources while Canada gets access to the largest military power in the world

It would be a very difficult process though. Things like healthcare, gun control, and drug legalities alone would likely stop the whole thing.

Either way, if Canada were to be the 'victor' of the two, then the Constitution of the United States becomes rather null and void, not to mention a whole lot of states laws that might be in jeopardy.

The reverse, that the US 'won', and Canada had to adapt... there'd be things that Canadians enjoy that they'd have to give up to be part of the USA.

Plus, Quebec would never stand for it, they would rather be their own country than part of the US. Heck, they would almost rather be their own country than be part of Canada

PS: Yanks watch out, Canadian bacon is a lie. That shit isn't even bacon. It's ham. You're not fooling anyone, Canada!

USA and Canada are already very close allies with virtually the same interests so why would it be an issue if they integrated?
It would be a bad thing for patriotic Canadians.

Yep, sounds great. Also, USA won't look as weird on the map being all disconnected from Alaska and stuff.

It would be a very difficult process though. Things like healthcare, gun control, and drug legalities alone would likely stop the whole thing.
I think we should hold referendums on that. USA would most likely adopt Canada's policies on healthcare, gun control, and drug legalities. USA would adopt the metric system as well. Also, Canada's provinces would be converted into states.

We could reach a compromise. Maybe even a new constitution?

Plus, Quebec would never stand for it, they would rather be their own country than part of the US. Heck, they would almost rather be their own country than be part of Canada
I personally think they should be their own country. They can have a referendum before any hypothetical unification.

To who? If anything California would just go independent. California has the 6th largest economy in the world.

Doesn't actually make sense. We are similar with Anglo-Canadians, but have you completely forgot about French-Canadians?

I mentioned in a later reply that Quebec should be given an option of independence if such a scenario were to occur.
