D.A.R.E. student turns in his parents

A North Carolina couple had a bit of a shock last Thursday when they were arrested and charged on two misdemeanor counts each of marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia after their own 11-year-old child turned them in.

Inspired by lesson administered by a police officer as part of the D.A.R.E. program in his elementary school, the fifth grader brought one of his parents’ marijuana cigarettes to school and reported them.

While this story has all the makings of a great afterschool special, it does beg some very serious questions. Did this student do the right thing? What happens next?

This is very scary. Today it is drugs (and silly drugs at it). Tomorrow we are talking political dissenters.

Child Protective Services will required more child-storage facilities 'cause I'd imagine just about half of America's children would belong to the state if such a thing became standard operating procedure in today's indoctrination cent-- I mean schools.
