Should Caucasus be considered Middle East?

Caucasus is in West Asia, not in Europe proper, but it is within the sphere of European influence, such as USSR.Armenia is an ex-Soviet block country which is a member of the CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization), the Russian version of NATO. But should Caucasus be consider part of the "Middle East"/"Near East"? What do you think?

No. You guys are just Caucasians. However, Armenia and Azerbaijan could be considered Middle Eastern if they want.

I don't think so. (I believe) They are fully Caucasoid, unlike the hodge-podge of the Middle East, and they should should be preserved along with Europeans.

Yet they cluster with a lot of the former instead of the latter genetically.

But they are still fully Caucasoid--like ancient/indigenous ME people--and should be preserved. The former are headed toward extinction, if not there already.

Armenia has historic ties to the Persians, Greeks, and Romans. The Armenian language has ties to the Iranian and Greek sub-branches of the Indo-European language family.
