Good point. I never really interested myself into olive trees because they can't be grown where I live, but of course just like with any other crop and especially fruit trees there are a lot of different varieties/cultivars. I guess that probably matters more than the actual country of origin.

Greek is healthier, Italian might taste better. especially to the untrained palate of the westerner.

for evident reason I know the italian olive oil but there are many quality ....it mean not all olive oil from italy is good ...be careful, and it's valid for Spain and Greece too.
