Default How much racially/ethnically seperate is your religion/church/mosque/temple etc.

My church is 99.9% serbian, I saw maybe one orthodox gypsy family except my family only who were there to light a candle etc. Almost all are Serbs, and everything of importance is run by serbs the priest is a serb and the diacon, and the choir singers etc. There is one russian woman who is very pious and fasts alot etc. and was often in my church.

sounds good, in my church, nation and church are not really seperate nation=church in my neck of the woods, i guess its called the serbian-orthodox church for a reason and cant be run by anyone else. the religion is closely tied with nation, for example soon is sveti sava and he is seen as prosvetitelj srpski, that means the one who brought serbians the christianity, so its a close tie with nation and church, other example is vidovdan, where they celebrate the battle of kosovo against the ottomans, also some say there is a heavenly serbia, that means serbia is on earth and in heaven. like the church is in heaven and on earth. its not really something for outsiders. i think its a religion which is not so open to converts, of course you can convert, but if I were not born into that tradition I wouldnt really convert, I would rather convert to roman-catholicism.

From what I have seen in the Mosque, all shades of people. From Somalis to Egyptians to various Berbers to Levantine and Gulf Arabs. The Imams in this mosque were mostly Saudi, with some Bosinaks, and also some Pakistanis

Sounds bullshit no offense...I've yet to see a Bosnian imam, but I've seen a Bosnian cultural center and mosque in toronto. Definitely doubt non-bosnians pray in it. Most imams in Canadian mosques are Egyptians and Pakis....then the other ethnicities having ethnic majority masjids, like Bengalis in Scarborough, Oromos in Parliament and Adelaie...Somalis in Rexdale, etc, etc.

True, but maybe they were the exception. I just assumed as they were White. The Saudi Imams often stay for bit and eventually leave. Yes most Imams are Pakistanis here, some Egyptians. There many Somali Imams especially in Somali dominated mosques. There is also Lebanese ones but they usually just serve Lebanese dominated mosques. There is Turkish cultural center but it's open for everyone here.
