‘The face is actually modular, the same way that within the app you can change the personality settings and create a separate profile and separate avatar, you’re able to remove and attach a different face to the same robot very easily,’ McMullen said.
‘And anyone can do that.’

With the face successfully changed out and a different color wig added, McMullen turned to the app and switched the personality, allowing ‘Solana’ to take over where Harmony had existed just minutes earlier.
During the demonstration, it was impossible not to notice that Harmony/Solana was missing something important – her entire body.

But, the firm is also working to develop new, heated bodies equipped with accelerometers and sensors that would allow them to respond to touches, and even move.
‘I’m pretty gung-ho now about getting movement, working on the neck down,’ McMullen said.
‘I’ve built a torso that moves and gyrates. I’m working on the arms as we speak.’
So far, McMullen says he has ordered enough parts to make about 20 of the bots – and already has ‘at least that many’ pre-orders.

The pop up brothel charged just £26-a-session for time with the robot woman.


The unusual brothel in Amsterdam was opened by the presenters of 'Spuiten en Slikken' - roughly translated as Shoot and Swallow - which is a controversial show about drugs and sex on Dutch public television.
