When it comes to his surname, it is of Slavic origin and typically Polish with a "-ski" suffix. But it is possible that his family intermarried with some Austrians, Germans, or others. Throughout history Lvov was a multi-cultural city, where various ethnicities mixed. But most of those people identified as Poles regardless of their ancestry. What I find interesting is that his results look Off-Ukrainian. So he is not just a Polonized East Slav.

A few ethnic Poles look like east Germans and some east Germans look like Poles to me, so looks wise, there are overlapping phenotypes. For example

This guy would def. not be guessed as Germanic in Norway, most would think he's from a central/ east euro country


There is also a reason why sometimes phenotype doesn't correlate with genetics, according to people who know their shit here I should cluster somewhere in Austria/ east-Germany but don't look like so because of dominant features that I've inherited probably from my mom more so than my dad. A lot of "Germanic" features are not dominant, like a hooked vs. a straight nose. That's why you'll find so many norids in Germanic lands probably. Because aquiline noses are a dominant trait.
