In the part of UK where I live there are as mani pakis as everywhere else, and the sight of full veiled women is a rare one. Most pakis around here a mostly westernised, and largely mixed with the locals. It is true however that some minoritties of radicals exist in the country and are WTF-elly tolerated by the authorities. It sickens me see how a country that has fought so hard for its secularization and freedom of thought is allowing bigots of every sort , and I do not mean just muslim radicals, although yes, also them) to cam around their land.

Some say it is the prize to pay for living in arguably one of the most free spots on earth (coughs...) but, freedom isn't compatible with anti-freedom ideas (It might seem contradictory, but if you look at it with an open mind, and not just in the semantical way, freedom doesn't equal anarchy, and everything goes. In my opinion one's freedom ends where next guy starts. So fuck you bigots, GTFO and back to wahalam salawalam-land. There you can throw acid to your women , wrap them in rags, stone your infidels, engage in honour crime vendetas, promote hatred towards minorities, hang your gays etc. But not here. again GTFO

It is not just culture, the problem is that no one country should receive such large amounts of inmigracción.

You said you lived in Edinburgh, but you seem to change your details with the wind to amuse yourself in some strange way.

Either way, the situation you describe is not that with which I am familiar with, in the old mill towns of Lancashire and Yorkshire. These places hold the greater part of the Pakis in the island, and what goes on there is of greater impact than in the rare multikult-idyll you seem to describe. In these towns, a kind of critical mass has long been reached. Too many came at once, we left the areas concerned, and they have established solid nuclei, in which they naturally mix mostly with themselves. Diaspora conditions have brought out the worst in them. This was very predictable, of course.

Yeah, I do not know anything about your area. But int he one I live, between the muslim community (which is quite large) full veiled women are a rare sight (although you see them one from time to time) I still don't like that. Even if it was only one. But just noting what I have observed

(WTF???)

I don't know if that is true, but if it is, it is a pretty fucked up idea. Not the best way to keep your nation's shopkeepers afloat, not to mention the housing problems that this creates (Here in edinburgh, most landlords are south asians, mine is Pakistani, for the record)

do you know when did that started in spain? boom of chinese shops started some 10 years ago (there's been chinese stores since the eighties, but the big boom started in the early 2000's) would like to know if the boom coincides with this no-need-for-taxation legistlation :S anyway what the actual fuck!
